What is VR Responder? VR Responder is a training simulator that uses virtual reality and artificial intelligence to help officers more effectively train for the unexpected. Good training can be key to a successful outcome in a stressful and dangerous situation, but training in a calm or unrealistic manner doesn't always teach skills that translate to real life. VR Responder provides a more realistic and intense simulated environment so officers can keep their skills sharp and be ready to respond to anything the job throws at them. VR Responder lets trainees practice with scenarios that require new or unfamiliar techniques so officers can develop well-rounded skills and knowledge. VR Responder is easy to use, requiring just a trainee and a proctor to run, and provides the opportunity to log more training time and experience all variety of call types and environments. 

With VR Responder, the simulation begins at the start of the call in a squad car. The trainee investigates the scene using only the information that would be available in real life. Users can talk to suspects and witnesses, enter buildings, practice cover and concealment, control connected simulated weapons, and talk or force their way through the situation. The proctor in charge of the training has live controls over character responses and call factors, and can ensure that no two calls or environments are the same. Created by a Marine and police officer based on his experience in the field and in training, VR Responder is the most realistic way to bring real world experience into the classroom!
